Purpose and scope
1. Purpose and scope
This policy explains how Qvernal handles information relating to site use, inquiries, tools, cookies, analytics, advertising technologies if introduced, and third-party services.
Contact
2. Operator and contact details
To contact Qvernal's operator, email contact@qvernal.com. If you contact us as the person concerned about personal data we retain, we will, after any necessary identity verification, respond without delay to requests for information that we are legally required to make available. This includes the operator's name and address, procedures for access and other requests, and other required information.
Information
3. Information we may handle
Information you provide directly
We may handle your email address, the content of your inquiry, and information you voluntarily include in an email. Qvernal currently has no contact form on the site.
Technical information
Hosting and security infrastructure may process IP addresses, browser and device information, access times, requested URLs, referring sources and similar technical information as necessary to provide and protect the site, address problems and maintain it.
Tool inputs
Where a tool explicitly states that processing takes place only in your browser, it does not intentionally transmit or store the relevant input on Qvernal's application server. This is not a uniform promise for every tool; please review any explanation provided for the individual tool.
Purposes
4. Purposes of use
We use information to provide and operate the site and its features, respond to inquiries, diagnose problems, maintain security, improve usability and content, and meet legal obligations. Analytics helps us understand page usage and improve the service. If advertising technologies are introduced, we will provide the necessary information separately.
Cookies and advertising
5. Analytics, cookies and advertising
The public site uses Google Analytics 4 to improve the service. Google Analytics processes information such as viewed page URLs, referring sources, browser and device information, usage times and cookie identifiers. Qvernal does not send tool input content as its own analytics events.
For visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland—or when a visitor's region cannot be reliably determined—Qvernal's interim analytics consent panel asks for your choice. In these cases, the Google Analytics tag is not loaded and analytics data is not sent until you allow it (Basic Consent Mode). In other regions, analytics may start without a consent popup, but a declined choice is respected regardless of region.
Regional classification uses country information supplied by the hosting infrastructure. Qvernal does not store IP addresses or precise location information for this decision and does not call a third-party geolocation API. IP-based classification may be inaccurate, so you can stop analytics in the settings regardless of your location.
You can change your choice through Analytics preferences at the bottom of each page. An initial decline does not reload the page. Withdrawing permission or stopping analytics that has already started displays a warning that unsaved inputs may be lost. Only after confirmation does the page stop analytics and reload. Qvernal will attempt to clear analytics cookies, but browser restrictions may prevent their removal. Cancel leaves the choice unchanged. Changes in another tab also stop transmission; that tab is reloaded only after confirmation.
Your choice is stored in this site's browser storage (localStorage) as allowed or declined only. Country information and tool inputs are not stored there. The choice remains until you clear the storage or change it. This storage is separate from analytics cookies and is used to respect your choice. Analytics does not start automatically if storage is unavailable.
Sending data to Google Analytics is prohibited in development and Preview environments. If analytics are disabled site-wide, that setting takes precedence over individual consent and the analytics tag will not load, even if permission was previously granted. Qvernal attempts to clear analytics cookies and the saved preference, but browser restrictions may prevent their removal. Analytics will not start while the site-wide setting is disabled. Advertising, Google Signals, advertising consent and Google CMP are not currently implemented. If advertising or similar features are introduced, the necessary information and choice mechanisms will be provided separately.
Service providers
6. Third-party service providers
Qvernal may use infrastructure, email, hosting, security and other service providers to operate the site. Where providers handle information, they do so within the scope needed to support service operations. For Google Analytics processing, also review Google's Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab) and How Google uses information from partner sites (opens in a new tab).
Disclosure
7. Disclosure to third parties
Qvernal does not provide personal data to third parties without the individual's prior consent, except where required or otherwise permitted by law. Some arrangements, such as entrusting the handling of personal data within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use, may not constitute disclosure to a third party under the law.
International processing
8. International processing and transfers
Depending on the services used, providers such as Google may process information in countries or regions outside your country or region of residence, including the United States. Where such processing is necessary, Qvernal handles it as required by applicable law.
Retention
9. Retention
Information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill its purposes or meet legal obligations, taking its nature and operational needs into account. Inquiry emails may be retained as necessary to respond, maintain operational records, prevent disputes or meet legal obligations.
Security
10. Security measures
Qvernal endeavors to take reasonable organizational and technical measures appropriate to the nature, volume and purposes of the information handled. These include access controls, protection of devices and accounts, and responses to incidents and information leaks. If a data subject contacts us about specific security measures, we will respond without delay following necessary identity verification, to the extent that doing so does not compromise security. We do not guarantee absolute information security.
Rights and inquiries
11. Your rights and inquiries
Depending on your region of residence and applicable law, you may have rights to request disclosure, correction, deletion, suspension of use or other action regarding personal information. For inquiries concerning applicable rights, contact contact@qvernal.com.
