Codes created by this tool contain the URL or information you enter directly. To change the content, create a new QR code. Codes with fixed content like this are often called static QR codes.
QR codes can be used for shop information, business cards, flyers, reception desks, inquiries and more.
Create a code for a shop website, booking page, product information or social profile so users do not have to type a long URL.
Reduce manual entry of SSIDs and passwords for guest Wi-Fi in cafes, hotels, rentals, meeting rooms and offices. Anyone who can see a Wi-Fi QR code can read its connection information. Check where you display it and which network it provides access to.
Use a code for reception numbers, exhibit descriptions, event meeting points or brief instructions without creating a web page.
An email QR code can include the recipient, subject and body, reducing typing errors and the work of composing a message from scratch.
A phone QR code can open the phone app with the number entered, depending on the device.
An SMS QR code can open a message with a recipient and preset text for arrivals, pickups or event check-in. Actual behavior may differ by operating system and SMS application.
Before printing or publishing, check scanning on actual smartphones. A black code on a white background with sufficient margins is recommended. Avoid printing too small. Longer content makes the code denser, so choose a larger image. Colored or inverted codes need additional checks. The absence of warnings does not guarantee scanning.
Rounded or round dots and transparent backgrounds may require more favorable scanning conditions than standard square codes. Place the code on the intended background, at its intended size and on the intended material, and test with several devices.

The QR code itself has no expiration date. However, a linked URL may stop working if its destination is deleted or changed.
Yes. QR codes conforming to JIS and ISO standards do not require a usage fee or application, including for commercial use. You remain responsible for checking linked destinations, published content, third-party rights and the terms of services you use. Test scanning on real devices before publishing or printing.

PNG is convenient as a standard image. SVG scales without the same loss of quality, making it useful for printing and design editing.
To avoid combinations that are difficult to scan, Qvernal offers color themes chosen with readability in mind instead of unrestricted colors.
Not currently. To prioritize scanning in published and printed materials, you can choose from combinations with sufficient contrast between the code and its background.
In general, the Standard theme with a dark code on a white background is the safest choice. Test other themes on real devices before publishing or printing.
They may scan, but results depend on the device, amount of content, colors, size and print conditions. Qvernal keeps the three corner finder patterns square and uses settings that prioritize readability for styled codes. Test on several devices before publishing.
Yes. PNG and SVG backgrounds can be transparent. Scanning may be harder if the background behind the code is dark, patterned or has too little contrast. Test the code in its final placement.
The URL or text you entered does not change. However, you must generate a new image after changing the design.
It is saved to the download location configured in your browser or device. Check apps or folders such as Downloads, Files or Photos.
The image or PDF itself is not stored in this QR code. Put the file somewhere it can be shared, then create a QR code for its URL. Check the file's visibility and access permissions.
Behavior depends on the operating system, camera app and Wi-Fi settings app. Test scanning on the devices you intend to use.
Return to a black code on a white background, choose Standard or Wide margins, and increase the image size. Test on several devices before publishing.
